The UMass Amerst has a huge campus where there is always something going on. I lived directly on campus in one of the student residences and was able to reach all the facilities on foot. There is a library on the campus, great food halls and much more. In Amherst there are also many bars, cafes and small shops. The food on campus is unique! The selection is huge and the food is delicious! In addition, students can use the Recreational Center. A great range of sports, huge gym and many courses included in tuition.

The International Office of the University was fantastic and has given terrific support to all international students. In addition, events and excursions (eg to Boston and NYC) were organized, so it was easy to meet new people.

There was a large selection of courses at the UMass and I could easily put together a timetable suitable for my studies. Incidentally, you could also choose other interesting courses, such as "Chocolate making" or "Scuba diving". The lecture rooms were all very modern and the group size was manageable, so it was easy to get in touch with the students and faculty.
