We already have detailed information about that new regulations for Working Holiday Visa Holders and international students reported in Australia due to the Corona crisis. In many groups and discussions one could read that backpackers and international students have no access to their superannuation. We asked more precisely and it was officially confirmed that backpackers and international students can also access their superannuation tax-free under certain conditions. Upon request, holders of a temporary visa (with working rights) can receive up to AUD 10.000 tax-free from their superannuation account.
